Gloucester Township Recreation Department Youth and Adult Programs

Students need to register through Gloucester township Recreation Center to receive special pricing.

If the class is on the Still Point schedule page it is also open to SPYC members.

Gloucester Township uses CommunityPass, an online registration system with convenient 24/7 access to registration for all of the programs at the Gloucester Township Recreation Center. Simply click the link below, sign up, and enjoy the convenience of online registration. With CommunityPass there will be no more waiting in lines! It is not only easy to use, but also secure. CommunityPass accepts debit and credit cards: Visa and Mastercard (please note that a separate 2.9% processing fee will be added).

The Recreation Center will still hold in-person registration by appointment only.
Cash, check, and credit/debit cards will be accepted during in-person registration (the processing fee will still apply when paying with a credit card).
Non-Residents can now register for all Recreation Dept. Programs for an additional $10 fee.

Tuesdays

MORNING YOGA – Take Care of You

Cost: $60 | 6 weeks per Series | Held @ Still Point Yoga Center

SERIES 1: Tuesdays: 6/10 – 7/15

SERIES 2: Tuesdays: 7/22 – 8/26 

 Time: 11:00 am-12:15 pm

A slow flow yoga class. Coordinating breath and movement. Stretching and strengthening your body and mind. This morning practice does not require any previous yoga experience. Yoga is a practice and does not have to be perfect. Come as you are. All are welcome. Wear comfortable clothing bring your own mat, towel and water.

Tuesday Evening  – Yoga Basics

Cost: $60 | 6 weeks per Series | Still Point Yoga Center

SERIES 1: Tuesdays: 6/10 – 7/15

SERIES 2: Tuesdays: 7/22 – 8/26 

Time: 6:00 – 7:15pm

Yoga promotes relaxation, reduces stress and calms anxiety. This class will focus on breath and body awareness. Learning how to relax and let go will open the bodies tight spots, calming the mind, and release stuck energy all at the same time.  Each class will end with a guided relaxation/meditation.  All levels of experience welcome. Wear comfortable clothing, bring your own mat, towel, water and blanket.


Wednesdays

WEDNESDAY MORNING YOGA

Cost: $60 | 6 weeks per Series | Held @ Still Point Yoga Center

SERIES 2: Wednesdays: 7/23 – 8/27

Time: 11:00am-12:15pm   

Students will focus on breath and body awareness as they move through yoga posture flows with healthy alignment finishing up with a guided relaxation. Open to all levels of yoga experience. Wear comfortable clothing bring your own mat, towel and water.

 

WEDNESDAY  EVENING  – Slow Flow Vinyasa Yoga

Time: 7:30pm – 8:30pm

This class is slower paced and focuses on developing clear and safe alignment in foundational poses, breath work and relaxation. Start your day with a smile on the inside and out. EveryBody is welcome! No yoga experience needed. Wear comfortable clothing bring your own mat, towel and water.

 

YOGA FOR US 55+
Cost: $60 | 6 weeks per Series | Held at Still Point Yoga Center

Time: 11:00am – 12:15pm

Leave your worries behind, you CAN do yoga! Safely and gently stretch, wake up tired stiff muscles, breath more effectively and learn to relax. No matter what age, weight, flexibility, balance issues or fitness level; you Can do yoga! No experience needed. Come dressed in comfortable clothing. Bring your own mat, towel and water.

 

CHAIR YOGA
Cost: $60 | 6 weeks per Series | Still Point Yoga Center

Time: 2pm – 3pm

This class offers all of the benefits of regular yoga without having to get onto the floor. Using a chair for support while learning a pose enables you to practice yoga safely and with confidence. This class will encourage the body to regain and build flexibility, stamina and balance. No yoga experience needed. Wear comfortable clothing bring your own mat, towel and water.

 

ACTIVE YOGA FLOW – AN HOUR TO EMPOWER
Cost: $60 | 6 weeks per Series | Still Point Yoga Center

Movement is medicine and Yoga is an excellent tool for Empowerment. It requires us to press the pause button and connect with the Mind, Body & Spirit feeling what is happening in the moment. Come see how a yoga can turn your weaknesses, discomfort, and doubt into strength, release, and confidence.  This class is open to all levels of practice.

YOGA FOR WEIGHT LOSS 

Cost: $60 | 6 weeks per Series | Held at Still Point Yoga Center

All levels of yoga experience will benefit and enjoy the yoga for weight loss class. Learning life strategies with yoga to help tone and build muscle. The more muscle we have the more fat we burn. Janet has a natural ability to challenge and inspire you. Leave this class feeling worked out and in, renewed, relaxed and balanced. No yoga experience needed. Wear comfortable clothing bring your
